What Products Qualify for a Price Match?
To qualify, the product must meet all the following criteria:
- Identical Product: The product must be the same brand, model number, colour, size, and condition (e.g., new, factory-sealed, unused).
- In Stock: The product must be in stock and available for immediate purchase from both the competitor and Kalto.
- Publicly Advertised: The competitor's price must be published and visible online.
Which Competitors Qualify?
Our Price Match Guarantee applies to pricing from the following types of competitors:
- Authorized Retailers: Competitors must be authorized sellers of the brand and product in question.
- Brick-and-Mortar Stores: Competitors with physical store locations within Canada.
- Online Retailers: Well-established e-commerce websites that ship products within Canada.
Exclusions from Price Matching
The following situations or product categories are excluded from our price match policy:
- Clearance, liquidation, refurbished, open-box, or final-sale items.
- Prices requiring memberships, subscription plans, or loyalty rewards.
- Flash sales, buy-one-get-one offers, bundle deals, or coupon-based discounts.
- Prices from individual sellers or third-party marketplaces such as eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or Craigslist meaning any products that are not sold directly by a competing retailer
- Price differences solely due to varying shipping costs, handling fees, or taxes.
- Incorrectly advertised prices due to typographical errors, etc.
- Custom or Special Order products
- Volume or wholesale discount pricing and trade quotes offered by competitors
- Competitor bid and auctions site pricing
- Open-box or display merchandise as well as returned, damaged, pre-owned, reconditioned, refurbished or previously discounted products
- Rebates, free offers, gifts with purchase, gift cards, prepaid cards, or bundle offers
- Unspecific offers
- Credit, lease, or financing offers and programs
- Fraudulent prices and advertised pricing from a competitor based on typographical error, misprint, out-of-date or other errors
- Rain checks, retroactive price adjustments
- Non-branded items
- Items with inflated shipping charges
- Taxes, delivery and shipping
- Direct-from-vendor/manufacturer pricing
How to Request a Price Match
1. Before Purchase:
- Locate the competitor’s price and gather documentation (e.g., screenshots, flyers, or product links).
- Contact us at info@kalto.ca with the details.
2. Verification Process:
- We will verify the competitor’s price and availability.
- Verification may take up to 48 hours. In cases where additional confirmation is required, we will notify you promptly.
How It Work
Once approved:
- The lower price will be honored at checkout.
- Prices can only be matched prior to purchasing.
Additional Terms and Conditions
- Price match adjustments apply only to the purchase price of the item. Taxes, shipping costs, or additional fees are excluded.
- Price matches are limited to one adjustment per item.
- We reserve the right to limit quantities of price-matched items per customer.
- This policy applies only to purchases made directly from Kalto.
- Kalto reserves the right to modify or discontinue this Price Match Policy at any time without prior notice.
- Kalto reserves the right to verify the lower price prior to sale.
