Shipping policy

Domestic Shipping

We offer FREE standard ground shipping on most orders over $50 for Canadian residents. Please note that this offer excludes the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon. If you require shipping to these territories, please reach out to our support team at info@kalto.ca

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.

At this time, we only ship within Canada.

Important Address Information
Once your order has been shipped or is ready for shipment, we cannot change the delivery address. If you realize your address is incorrect, please contact us immediately after placing your order.

Inspect Your Order Upon Delivery
Please inspect all items upon delivery. Refer to our Delivery Checklist and report any damages, defects, or missing components within 48 hours of receipt. Even if you don’t plan to use or install the item(s) right away, it’s crucial to check them within this timeframe to avoid potential replacement costs. 

Shipping Methods

Standard Ground Shipping
Standard ground shipping is available for smaller items such as faucets, sinks, and accessories. We partner with carriers like Canpar, Canada Post, GLS, Purolator, UPS, and FedEx to ensure packages are insured and trackable.

  • Free Ground Shipping: Available on most orders over $50 (some exclusions apply, especially for oversized items). To see if your item or order qualifies for free shipping enter your address at checkout.

  • Tracking: You will receive a tracking link once your order ships, allowing you to monitor the estimated delivery date.

Missed Deliveries: If a package cannot be delivered and is returned to us, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs as well as any other costs incurred.

Freight ‘LTL’ or Large Item Shipping
Freight shipping is required for oversized or heavy items, such as vanities, toilets, bathtubs, or large mirrors. These items are shipped on pallets using carriers like FastFrate, Day&Ross, Kindersley Transport, FedEX, etc.

  • Free Freight Shipping: Offered to residents in Ontario and Quebec. For other provinces, shipping rates will appear at checkout.

  • Delivery Appointments: Freight deliveries require someone to be present to accept the shipment. Carriers typically contact you to schedule a delivery time. Most carriers will contact you to set up a delivery window during normal business hours. If the carrier is unable to contact the customer, or if the customer does not accept the delivery date provided, the customer may be responsible for any warehouse storage fees, or freight charges back to the shipper (in addition to the original shipment expense, if applicable).

  • Curb-side Delivery Only: Oversized items are delivered to your driveway or loading dock and will not be brought inside.

Shipping Times and Processing

  • Processing Time: Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days.

  • Shipping Time: In-stock items usually ship within 1-3 business days

  • Special Order / Non Stock Items: May take 4-6 weeks to ship. 

  • Order Confirmation: After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. Once shipped, you’ll receive a tracking link for updates.

  • Kalto provides estimated shipping times but cannot be held responsible for unexpected delays or offer compensation for such delays. If a delay occurs, we will make every effort to address the situation promptly. We strongly recommend waiting to receive and inspect all items before arranging installation to avoid any issues with professional scheduling.

  • Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled. If you decide to return a shipped item, you must first receive it and then follow our Return Policy. If you refuse delivery of a shipped order, you will be responsible for covering the return shipping costs, as well as any original shipping fees, if applicable.

Note: Orders placed after 4:00 PM EST on weekdays will be processed the next business day.

Delivery Guidelines

We aim to ensure all orders arrive safely. However, if damage occurs during transit:

  1. Inspect items before signing the Bill of Lading or accepting delivery.

  2. Note any visible damages on the receipt or Bill of Lading. Check for torn shrink wrap, dents, cracks, holes, or missing strapping.

  3. If you reject delivery due to damage, note the reason clearly on the Bill of Lading and take many photos to help us resolve the issue for you.

  4. Report damages to us within 48 hours to info@kalto.ca.

Damaged Items:
Please keep all packaging intact until the issue is resolved. If a return is required, the item must be repackaged securely for pickup.
